History Of Tempo Bank
Tempo Bank, originally established as Trenton Savings and Loan Association in 1889, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. On July 31, 1984, the bank's main office was relocated to 28 West Broadway Street in Trenton, Illinois. On September 19, 1989, the institution was renamed Tempo Bank, A Federal Savings Bank, and transitioned from a mutual savings bank to a federally chartered organization under the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). The bank's organization type changed to a stock savings bank on April 3, 2007, and it subsequently changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011. In another relocation on August 29, 2021, the main office was moved to the same address in Trenton, Illinois. However, the bank ultimately closed voluntarily and liquidated its assets on December 31, 2022.
