History Of TCF Bank

TCF Bank, originally established as Twin City Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1923, underwent several name and organizational changes throughout its history. In 1982, TCF Bank acquired First Fidelity Savings and Loan Association in Austin, Minnesota, followed by the acquisition of Northern Federal Savings and Loan Association in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1983. The institution transitioned to a stock savings and loan in 1986 and was renamed TCF Banking and Savings, FA. By 1990, TCF Bank had expanded its operations through the acquisition of TCF Banc Savings Association in Houston, Texas. The organization underwent further transformations, including a change of name to TCF Bank Minnesota, FSB in 1993, and became a member of the Federal Reserve System in 1997. In 2000, TCF Bank transformed into TCF National Bank, expanding its presence through multiple acquisitions including TCF National Bank Wisconsin and TCF National Bank Illinois. The bank continued to grow with significant acquisitions, including TCF National Bank Colorado in 2002 and TCF National Bank Arizona in 2009. In 2019, TCF Bank acquired Chemical Bank in Detroit, Michigan, and transitioned to full trust powers. My name is Edie Roberts, I had an account with TCF Bank In Illinois. I moved to Raleigh North Carolina where there were no TCF Banks. I was withdrawing my money by transferring it to my North Carolina account. I did not withdraw all of my money. I miss placed my bank card and had no idea that TCF Bank had changed to Huntington Bank. I reach out to Huntington Bank and they have no records of my account. Every phone number I find online turns into a dead-end. Can you please give me an email address or phone number to claim my money?
