Talmer West Bank

Talmer West Bank, originally established as Ann Arbor Commerce Bank on October 1, 1990, evolved through a series of mergers and acquisitions. The bank's main office was relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, on July 20, 1998. In March 2009, it underwent a name change to Michigan Commerce Bank and began acquiring several banks in Michigan, including Brighton Commerce Bank and Detroit Commerce Bank, among others. On August 21, 2015, it merged with Talmer Bank and Trust, adopting the name Talmer West Bank on January 1, 2014, following acquisitions of Indiana Community Bank, Bank of Las Vegas, and Sunrise Bank of Albuquerque. Subsequent mergers included joining Chemical Bank on November 11, 2016, and becoming part of TCF National Bank on August 1, 2019.
