Talmer Bank and Trust

Talmer Bank and Trust was established on August 27, 2007, originally under the name First Michigan Bank. The bank underwent a series of acquisitions and mergers over the years, significantly expanding its presence. On April 22, 2011, it officially changed its name to Talmer Bank and Trust. The bank acquired several financial institutions, including Peoples State Bank in Hamtramck, Michigan, in February 2011, and Community Central Bank in Mount Clemens, Michigan, in April 2011 as part of a government-assisted merger. The historical trajectory of the bank culminated in a series of mergers: it became part of Chemical Bank on November 11, 2016, TCF National Bank on August 1, 2019, and finally merged with The Huntington National Bank on June 9, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio.
