Tallahatchie County Bank was established on November 11, 1913, originally under the same name it would later retain. The bank underwent a significant change on August 19, 1974, when it officially adopted the name Tallahatchie County Bank and relocated its main office to 2 East Main Street in Charleston, Mississippi. Subsequently, the main office moved again on January 23, 2016, to 10 South Square Street, also in Charleston, Mississippi. The bank's history culminated in a merger on March 1, 2018, when Tallahatchie County Bank became part of Bank of Commerce, based in Greenwood, Mississippi. This consolidation marked the end of Tallahatchie County Bank's independent operations.
