Your creditcare division is ridiculous! My credit score are over 800 and my identity is easily established with the Credit Bureaus. I even already have accounts with synchrony. I now am contemplating reporting you to the BBB.
Think I'll add to this chorus of "Boos" for my own unexceptional customer service with this clownish bank. I have an account with PayPal that is serviced by Synchrony Bank. It seems both PayPal and SynCRONY bank don't know left from right. In November 2023 we received a payment check from our escrow company to pay a debt of $3188.00 to PayPal serviced by SynCRONY bank. The address given to us by the Virtual Assistant gave us a payment address in Atlanta GA. This letter was sent back to us as "Vacant/unable to forward". Another wondrous PayPal CSR gave us the address off their website in Philadelphia PA. Our Escrow company cancelled the original check, reissued another check and they sent it to the PayPal account as stated for payment off their website. 3 weeks later we get a letter from SynCRONY bank stating they never received a check at the address we were told to send it to. Our escrow company cancelled that check and reissued another and sent it to me to send to PayPal/SynCRONY bank...again for the now third time. We used USPS tracking and it shows that it was picked up over 3 weeks ago and yet has to be cashed. In the interim I've just received a letter dated March 8 2024 from this sad bank that they're disputing my dispute letter from me back in December 2024. Well ... I will give them another week and be in contact with our escrow company to see if the check that was tracked and picked up by someone at PayPal was cashed. Stay tuned for the drama
I bought a dryer @ a home supply store here in Albuquerque. The total was $921.21. I asked them if I could pay it in a few months (they used to have their own account dept) the guy said of course had me sign my invoice & that was it. I assumed they were going to bill me so I waited (this was in April of last year). Then I got a bill from Synchrony in Orlando Florida. I opened it & it showed payment of $28 a month. I wanted to get it paid off so I called them I they set it up. I never got a credit card or any thing. Anyway it was paid off at the end of the year last year and I was still getting bills from them. They would call me in the middle of the night like MIDNIGHT, I just hung up on them & went down to Baillios to talk to the guy that sold it to me. Of course he wasn't there but the guy who was just said I NEVER HEARD OF SYNCHRONY, DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE OR WHERE THEY ARE AS HE WAS WALKING AWAY FROM ME, I left & came home & started getting bills again I they still told me they still didn't know what I was talking about. So I looked up the one in Pennsylvania & wrote to the person that was in charge. I got a no signed letter yesterday with no address on it telling I owe them $65 I just don't know what to do. I called them this morning in Orlando I think, & could not understand one word she said so I finally hung up
The bank is run by a bunch of shysters! They seem to have locked up the market on underwriting department store credit cards and charge way high interest rates. They are no different to a payday lender!!!
Synchrony is the WORST. Total fraud.
Synchrony Bank has been harassing me for over a year to pay a $700 balance on a credit card. I did not make those charges and I refuse to pay them. I have documented over and over the same documents that prove I did not use their card and they continue to insist that I did. Terrible bank...not really a bank at all. It's a rip off.
I keep getting letters from this bank to include my name, address, and SOCIAL SECURITY number requesting a signature card. I called in January and was told until I send in signed card, they would continue to send... so I did and now they are telling me, after I called and confirmed all good in January, that the card is invalid and that they will continue to send until they get a valid card bc I wrote the instructions/info to send the card on the paperwork. I DO NOT FEEL THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO BREACH the security of this information via USPS and when I call Kevin 6377529, the Account Manager gives me an attitude. Very poor customer service and just so everyone knows they took my money and have no issue compromising your name/address & SOCIAL SECURITY INFORMATION. I cannot wait until I can pull my money out... I was told in January that if I pull my money there will be a penalty of $800+. I have never had a bank compromise my information and they can validate ss#'s directly with the IRS... no reason for them to do this, especially when I confirmed all was in order 8 months ago. They say they are going to keep on doing this until they get what they want.
This bank should be investigated by the banking authorities. I have been billed $62.31 for items I supposedly ordered. They can not tell me what the this merchandise is, but they give me two abbreviated company names that supposedly shipped said merchandise. I have been working with their FRAUD DIVISION for months. They keep telling me that their investigation shows that the merchandise was delivered. In the meantime their bill has increased to over $400 in interest and late fees. The only person I get to speak to is a FRAUD MANAGER, and there have been several of them. They say they cannot connect me to an investigator or their superior for further clarification. My only recourse, at this point, is to retain an attorney and still they keep adding interest fees and late charges.

I have never heard of Synchrony bank until I received a notice that someone using my name opened a PayPay account there and charged over $800.00 in merchandise and didn't pay a dime. Now I am in collection for that amount and I can't seem to resolve it.
Synchrony Bank has inept, incompetent employees who provide the worst customer service I've ever experienced-personal or business, at any banking institution. They do not follow instructions, they do not follow up, and getting someone to call back in a timely fashion is almost impossible. Here's the abbreviated story of what should have been a simple transaction. I provided instructions to close a CD account, withdraw and send me some of the cash from the CD, then open a new CD with the remaining balance. Multiple representatives of Synchrony mishandled this simple transaction. It took many calls and over 6 hours of my time on the phone, along with 5+ weeks of waiting before I received a check that should have been sent in a week. I heard apology after apology from each new customer service rep but the incompetent employees at this institution just can't seem to get anything right. I also emailed multiple senior executives of the bank alerting them to the experience and not to my surprise, I didn't receive a single response. Let me say this. There are many good banks with excellent CD interest rates available right now for those of you who want to find a safe place to park some cash. I strongly suggest that you avoid Synchrony Bank and find a banking operation that values their customers, doesn't repeat the same mistakes over and over, and responds in a timely fashion to requests for return calls. Synchrony does none of this and as such, they do not deserve my business or yours. Think carefully before you make the same mistake I did. I will never work with this bank again and I had been a customer for over 10 years!
It's time for a class action lawsuit and for Washington to recognize The Secretary Of The Tresary jurisdiction on monopolies. This dates back as far as the Constitution and the Decoration Of Independence. For those who are not familiar it's the clam of no taxation without representation. FDIC backed raises a question of who is allowing such a frued.
I'm trying to get a statement showing my account is paid off. Representatives will only give their first names "to protect THEIR privacy", they won't give you any phone numbers and they tell you that they can mail you the documents within 7-10 business days. I have to get a statement and their online portal is down. If I lose this property, their legal department at 170 Election Road, Suite 125 in Draper Utah 84020 is hearing from my attorney. Worst customer service ever.
This bank is pathetic I wrote him a check they cashed it and then they tell me that they didn't receive it put my account in negative and put it on my credit history.
This bank and their service personnel are pathetic! I try to make a payment on my account and it won't allow me to. That's one account. 2nd account they closed it because I was 29.00 negative. Well when they closed the account I couldn't get into it to make the pay. Call customer service and wow! Ignorant people can't get any decency from them let alone help! Horrible!
Worthless! I'm delinquent on my monthly payment because I given the wrong address. It was the address on my bill, and now no one knows where my payment went, and it was for way more than the required amount. I can't seem to talk to anyone who might know! Dammit, dammit, dammit!
How are they still in business? I do not understand how such a crooked and shady company located in our United States is allowed to do such horrible financial business to Americans.
This is with out a dought the worse bank I have ever seen,i am 82 years old and have done a lot of business with many banks, this is the bank for Amazon, I ordered 3 items from Amazon back in september, received one of the items, then the second item came 6 weeks after that, never received the 3rd item, not only that but I never received a bill from this bank, sat on the line for 1 hour 2 times and was never able to talk to a live person, just kept switching me around, now I see they have a branch in draper Utah, I call there and I get voice mail saying the box is full, what kind of bank does not answer a phone? I was able to get my order straight with Amazon, but how do I get to the bank to make sure they have my address so I can get my refund, apartnly they do not have my address, I have never seen a bill just a threathing call saying pay your bill, guess what guys how do you pay a bill you never receive
The phone mailbox for customer service is full. I cannot get through to pay my bill.
They offered me a settlement for my credit card account with Amazon but then would not send me a written letter with the payment arrangements and show the agreed balance. So therefore they won't give me a legal document in hand only verbal agreements on telephone. This seems shady to me.
What a joke .... NOT helping us thats been affected by the coivd19 pandemic/executive orders .... anytime dealing with your "agents" in the Philippines i get NO help at all... they don't understand English well enough. And it ended up putting me in a very terrible position with my account .. ???
This bank deducted -$100 from my debit acount after my of Bank Star transferred a balance from Synchrony Bank which should have left my account with Paypal credit at zero. Somebody will messed up.
This bank took over Paypal. We sent in a check for over 4,000$. They claim not to have recieved it yet we have the cashed check and have faxed to them 3 times . It seems the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. They are runing. my credit> I have been a member of paypal for almost 15 years with out a problem. Now they are in charge no one seems to care about the custiomers' I read the first message on this sight and it seems they treat every one very poorly. So may be someone in thire corporate head quarters can handle this problem. Maybe this is just elder abuse. I think my next move will be a letter to AARP asking them for help

About 6 month I had issue to solve with Sams'club credit card - managed by Syncrony bank. I tried several time to talk by phone and by letter to solve with Symcrony Bank. It's frustrating because it's very hard to tolk by hone with an agent, every time when I talk doesn't solve enithyng. Finaly I received a letter end they said my balance is 0 and I received another statement with another amount to pay. I should like to speak with someone responseble and competent to solve this issue unsolved from July 2018.
