Sycamore Bank was established on March 13, 1900, originally under the name Senatobia Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes, including a relocation of its main office to 301 East Main Street in Senatobia, Mississippi, on August 27, 1990. In January 1993, Sycamore Bank expanded its operations by acquiring Citizens Bank in Coldwater, Mississippi. Following a rebranding effort, the bank officially changed its name to Sycamore Bank on May 1, 2005. The bank's trust powers were modified to limited status on August 31, 1977. Ultimately, on October 1, 2022, Sycamore Bank merged with BankFirst Financial Services, based in Columbus, Mississippi, becoming part of a larger financial institution.
