History Of Summit State Bank
Summit State Bank is a financial institution based in Santa Rosa, California. It was established on January 1, 1982, under the name Summit Savings and Loan Association. The organization underwent a series of name and structural changes, becoming Summit Savings, FSB on May 24, 1990, and transitioning to a stock savings bank with oversight from the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). On January 19, 1999, the bank changed its name to Summit State Bank, switched its organization type to a commercial bank, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), while also altering its chartering agency to a state body. Initially located in Rohnert Park, California, the bank's main office was moved to 6305 Commerce Boulevard, Rohnert Park, on May 31, 1984. Subsequently, the main office was relocated again on February 18, 2003, to 500 Bicentennial Way in Santa Rosa, California.
