Stroud National Bank was established on March 16, 1898, originally under the name The State National Bank of Stroud. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes, including a name change to Stroud National Bank on June 1, 1956. The main office relocated to various addresses within Stroud, Oklahoma, with a significant move occurring on August 22, 1977, to 302-308 West Third Street, and later on October 1, 1991, to 300 West Main. On the same day, Stroud National Bank acquired The Wellston State Bank located in Wellston, Oklahoma. After more than a century of operation, Stroud National Bank merged with First Bank & Trust Co. on June 29, 2021, and became part of the banking institution based in Duncan, Oklahoma.
