State National Bank of Texas was established on May 14, 1932, originally under the name The State National Bank of Iowa Park. Over the years, the bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, notably acquiring Windthorst National Bank in Windthorst, Texas, and Electra State Bank and Trust Company in Electra, Texas, both on May 13, 1999. Following these acquisitions, the institution rebranded itself as State National Bank of Texas on the same date. The bank continued to operate until it was merged into Pilgrim Bank, based in Pittsburg, Texas, on January 8, 2015.
