State-Investors Bank

State-Investors Bank was established in 1894 as the State-Investors Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and regulatory modifications. In 1993, it rebranded as State-Investors Savings and Loan, FSA, while also changing its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) and moving its main office to 1041 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie, Louisiana. The bank adopted the name State-Investors Bank on May 20, 1997. On July 6, 2011, it changed its organization type to Stock Savings & Loan and subsequently switched its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011. However, following struggles in the financial sector, State-Investors Bank failed on April 28, 2017, and was merged with government financial assistance, ultimately becoming part of First NBC Bank in New Orleans, Louisiana, on December 1, 2015.
