Spectra Bank, based in Fort Worth, Texas, has its origins in 1986 when it was established as Riverbend Bank, National Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes in its regulatory status and name. On April 1, 2002, Riverbend Bank became a state-chartered bank and transitioned from being a member of the Federal Reserve System to operate under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The bank's name changed to Riverbend Bank on the same date. Subsequently, on March 28, 2006, the bank further shifted its status and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, adopting a state charter.
