History Of Southwest Securities
Southwest Securities, originally established as Arlington Savings Bank, FSB on March 20, 1986, underwent several name changes and relocations throughout its history. On June 30, 1989, the institution changed its name to First Savins Bank, A FSB. The bank then moved its main office to 100 East South Street in Arlington, Texas, on January 23, 1990, before relocating again to 301 South Center Street in Arlington on April 1, 1995. On July 21, 2011, Southwest Securities changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The institution continued to operate until its merger with PlainsCapital Bank in Dallas, Texas, on January 1, 2015, becoming part of that banking entity.
