SouthStar Bank, S.S.B. is a financial institution based in Moulton, Texas. It was originally established on November 6, 1920, under the name Farmers & Merchants State Bank. The bank underwent several name changes over the decades, becoming Moulton State Bank on February 26, 1981, then First State Bank on June 27, 1990. In 2002, it rebranded as Lone Star Bank and, subsequently, as Lone Star Bank, S.S.B. in 2004 when it changed its organization type to a stock savings bank. On January 1, 2015, the institution adopted its current name, SouthStar Bank, S.S.B., following the acquisitions of Texas Star Bank in Lott, Texas, and First Star Bank in Bremond, Texas.
