History Of Southside Bank
Southside Bank is a financial institution that was established on October 3, 1960, originally under the name Southside State Bank. The bank underwent a name change to Southside State Bank on December 21, 1977, when it also expanded its trust powers to full. In September 1987, Southside Bank acquired South Broadway Bank in Tyler, Texas. The institution changed its name again to Southside Bank on October 4, 1993. In the subsequent years, Southside Bank continued to grow through a series of acquisitions, including the acquisition of Fort Worth National Bank in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 29, 2008, and OmniAmerican Bank in Fort Worth on December 18, 2014. Most recently, on November 30, 2017, Southside Bank acquired First Bank & Trust East Texas in Diboll, Texas, and officially changed its name to Southside Bank on the same date.

These people are useless. Today they suspended my account only because it's been 2 years since I opened it. No other reason given. I had to go through the reset process after not being able to buy groceries. WHAT IF I HAD BEEN ON VACATION?!?
