History Of South Story Bank & Trust
South Story Bank & Trust is a financial institution that was established on September 1, 1954, under the name Slater State Bank in Slater, Iowa. In its early years, the bank operated under this original name until April 12, 1974, when it changed its institution name to Slater State Bank and also received full trust powers. Shortly thereafter, on May 7, 1974, the institution rebranded to its current name, South Story Bank & Trust. The bank has undergone several relocations; it moved its main office from Main Street to 501 Linn Street in Slater, Iowa, on March 7, 2011, after having previously moved to Main Street on December 30, 1989.
