History Of Somerset Trust Company
Somerset Trust Company is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1889. Initially, it operated under its original name, Somerset Trust Company. On June 6, 1938, the company became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve (FED), also classifying itself as a state-chartered bank, member of the Federal Reserve System. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes, including the withdrawal from membership in the Federal Reserve System and a change in its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on December 15, 2008. On the same date, it reclassified itself as a state-chartered bank, no longer a member of the Federal Reserve System. Additionally, the main office was relocated to 151 West Main Street in Somerset, Pennsylvania, on June 9, 1975. More recently, on October 1, 2019, Somerset Trust Company acquired First Bank of Lilly, located in Lilly, Pennsylvania.

Lots of new branches opening. But the one that needs some Major help is Hooversville Branch. It's the size of a shoebox, no privacy & they blast your private info. Out for a small nosy community to hear. Was done on purpose.
