SimplyBank

SimplyBank was established in 1890 as Hamilton Bank of Rhea County. The institution underwent several name changes throughout its history, becoming Liberty Bank of Tennessee - Rhea County in 1976 and subsequently changing its name to Bank of Rhea County later that year. In the following decades, it continued to evolve, adopting the names United American Bank in Rhea County in 1981, City & County Bank of Rhea County in 1982, and First Bank of Rhea County in 1983. In 1999, the bank rebranded as First Bank of Tennessee. A significant transition occurred in 2018 when it changed its name to SimplyBank. The main office was relocated multiple times, with notable moves including a relocation to Spring City, Tennessee, in 1973, and later to Dayton, Tennessee, in 2021. SimplyBank expanded its operations by acquiring Community National Bank in Dayton, Tennessee, on March 19, 2021, followed by the acquisition of Peoples Bank of Polk County in Benton, Tennessee, in December 2004. On March 22, 2021, SimplyBank's main office was moved to 420 Third Avenue, Dayton, Tennessee. The bank ultimately merged with First Financial Bank, National Association on July 1, 2024, and is now part of the institution based in Terre Haute, Indiana.
