Select Bank & Trust

Select Bank & Trust was established on May 24, 2000, under the original name New Century Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes and expansions. On March 29, 2008, it acquired New Century Bank South located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In a notable rebranding effort, the bank changed its name to Select Bank & Trust Company on July 26, 2014, the same day it also acquired Select Bank & Trust Company based in Greenville, North Carolina. The bank continued to grow, and on December 18, 2017, it acquired Carolina Premier Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina. In February 2019, Select Bank & Trust moved its main office to 700 West Cumberland Street in Dunn, North Carolina. The institution ultimately merged with First Bank in Southern Pines, North Carolina, on October 16, 2021, becoming part of that larger financial entity.
