HISTORY OF SECURITY FIRST BANK
Security First Bank was established on January 1, 1978, originally under the name Security First Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, it evolved significantly, becoming a commercial bank and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation on July 1, 1995. On the same date, the institution formally adopted the name Security First Bank. The bank's main office relocated to 508 West 18th Street in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on February 16, 1999. Security First Bank underwent two mergers before being dissolved; it merged with First State Bank in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on June 10, 2019, and subsequently merged with Riverstone Bank in Eagle, Nebraska, on November 5, 2021.
