History Of Security Federal Savings Bank
Security Federal Savings Bank, originally established as the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Logansport on April 1, 1934, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. In 1984, the institution expanded by acquiring Kokomo Federal Savings and Loan Association located in Kokomo, Indiana. Following this, on September 30, 1987, it changed its organization type to a Mutual Savings Bank. The bank adopted the name Security Federal Savings Bank on June 30, 1988. In a further transformation, on July 23, 1998, it changed its trust powers to full. The bank transitioned to being regulated by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011.
