Security Bank

Security Bank was established on February 10, 1928, under the name Security State Bank. Throughout its history, the institution underwent various changes in location, organizational structure, and ownership. In 1991, Security Bank expanded by acquiring Reagan State Bank in Big Lake, Texas. The bank continued its growth by acquiring First National Bank of Monahans in Monahans, Texas, in February 2009 and The Bank of Texas in Devine, Texas, in October 2011. In December 2008, the institution rebranded itself as Security Bank. Over the following years, the bank moved its main office multiple times, with significant relocations to Odessa, Texas, in July 2001, and to Midland, Texas, where it ultimately settled at 600 North Marienfeld Street, Suite 200 in April 2016. However, on February 29, 2020, Security Bank merged with American Momentum Bank based in College Station, Texas, marking the end of its independent operations.
