Security Bank of Crawford, originally established as Security National Bank of Whitesboro on March 30, 1940, has undergone several name changes and relocations throughout its history. In 1986, the institution changed its name to Security Bank of Whitesboro and moved its main office to Main Street in Whitesboro, Texas. The bank's chartering agency changed to state level, and it withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System the same year. In 1987, Security Bank of Whitesboro acquired Collinsville State Bank in Collinsville, Texas. The institution's name was changed again in 2011 to The First Bank, coinciding with a relocation to Harrison Street in Roxton, Texas. Following the acquisition of The First Bank in Roxton, the name was updated to Security Bank of Crawford on December 7, 2013, when the main office was moved to Lone Star Parkway in Crawford, Texas.
