Schwertner State Bank

Schwertner State Bank was established on January 1, 1912, under the original name of The First National Bank of Schwertner. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes. On October 23, 1978, it changed its name to Schwertner State Bank and shifted its chartering agency to a state authority, while also withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System. The bank's main office moved several times, first relocating on December 19, 1979, to Northeast Main and Second Streets in Schwertner, Texas, and later on December 28, 2006, to 110 Main Street in Schwertner, Texas. Ultimately, on October 1, 2015, Schwertner State Bank merged with R Bank based in Round Rock, Texas, marking the end of its independent operations.
