S&T Bank, originally established as The Savings & Trust Company of Indiana on May 21, 1902, has undergone significant growth and transformation throughout its history. In 1945, the institution became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its classification to a state-chartered bank. In 1970, the bank moved its main office to 800 Philadelphia Street in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and rebranded as The Savings & Trust Company of Indiana. It was renamed S&T Bank on January 11, 1991. Over the years, S&T Bank expanded its footprint through a series of acquisitions, including Vanguard Savings Bank in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, in 1991, and Integrity Bank in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, in 2015.
