History Of Rollstone Bank
Rollstone Bank, originally established as Fitchburg Savings Bank on February 12, 1846, has undergone several name and regulatory changes throughout its history. On November 3, 1972, the institution adopted the name Fitchburg Savings Bank. This was followed by a significant transition on April 15, 1983, when it changed its name to Fitchburg Savings Bank, FSB, and came under the regulation of the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). Trust powers were fully granted to the bank in 1989, but these were eliminated on August 12, 1992. The bank rebranded as Rollstone Bank & Trust on February 21, 2008. In 2011, Rollstone Bank transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
