History Of Rolling Hills Bank & Trust
Rolling Hills Bank & Trust is a financial institution with roots dating back to its establishment as Anita State Bank on July 1, 1876. The bank underwent several name changes and regulatory transitions; it became Rolling Hills National Bank on April 1, 1989, at which point it also moved its main office to Main Street in Anita, Iowa, and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. Following this, the main office was relocated to 1307 East 7th Street in Atlantic, Iowa, on October 2, 1989. On August 28, 1995, the institution rebranded itself as Rolling Hills Bank & Trust and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. The bank expanded its operations through a series of acquisitions, including Rippey Savings Bank in Rippey, Iowa, on May 18, 2001, Griswold State Bank in Griswold, Iowa, on November 6, 1995, Metabank West Central in Stuart, Iowa, on March 29, 2008, and The First National Bank of Brewster in Brewster, Minnesota, on April 4, 2009.
