History Of RiverWood Bank
RiverWood Bank, originally established as First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Bemidji in 1910, has undergone several name and organizational structure changes throughout its history. In 1989, the institution was renamed First Federal Banking and Savings, FA, and subsequently changed to First Federal Banking & Savings, FSB, in 1994 after restructuring as a Mutual Savings Bank. Later in 1995, it transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank and was then renamed First Federal Bank in 1997. The bank changed its name to RiverWood Bank on August 25, 2008, and in 2011, it switched its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. RiverWood Bank further expanded its operations by acquiring another bank in Baxter, Minnesota, on February 22, 2013. The bank's main office relocated to 14540 Dellwood Drive in Baxter, Minnesota, on February 23, 2017.
