History Of Riverview Bank
Riverview Bank, originally established as Riverview Savings Association in 1923, has undergone several changes in name and regulatory statuses throughout its history. In 1985, it was rebranded as Riverview Savings Bank, and in 1993, it became Riverview Savings Bank, FSB, transitioning to a stock savings bank and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). The institution adopted the name Riverview Community Bank in 1998. Significant changes occurred in 2021 when it became a state-chartered commercial bank regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). This marked a departure from its previous designation and regulatory oversight. Riverview Bank acquired Today’s Bank in Vancouver, Washington, in 2003, and American Pacific Bank in Portland, Oregon, in 2005. On August 9, 2022, the bank simplified its name to Riverview Bank. Following this, on August 31, 2022, the main office was relocated to 900 Washington Street, Vancouver, Washington, 98660.
