Richardson County Bank & Trust Company was established on May 1, 1880, originally operating under the name The Richardson County Bank. The institution underwent a significant name change on March 3, 1969, adopting the title Richardson County Bank & Trust Company. On August 21, 1972, the main office was relocated to 1616 Harlan Street in Falls City, Nebraska. In a strategic move to expand its services, Richardson County Bank & Trust Company acquired The State Bank of Stella in Stella, Nebraska, on January 1, 1995. However, on October 24, 2015, the bank merged and became part of Frontier Bank, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
