Regal Bank & Trust

Regal Bank & Trust was originally established on April 4, 1947, under the name Regal Savings and Loan Association, Inc. Over the decades, the institution underwent a series of transformations. On May 31, 1988, it changed its name to Regal Savings Bank, FSB, and altered its organization type to a stock savings bank, with regulatory oversight shifting to the Office of Thrift Supervision. On January 24, 2000, the bank adopted the name Regal Bank & Trust, transitioned to a commercial bank, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Additionally, on October 31, 2007, the main office relocated to 11436 Cronhill Drive Unit 1 in Owings Mills, Maryland. After several years of operation, Regal Bank & Trust merged with Old Line Bank in Bowie, Maryland, on December 5, 2015. The bank's final merger occurred on November 22, 2019, when it became part of WesBanco Bank, Inc., based in Wheeling, West Virginia.
