History Of Range Bank
Range Bank, established on June 4, 1887, originally operated as The First National Bank of Negaunee in Negaunee, Michigan. Over the years, the institution underwent several key changes, including moving its main office to 350 Iron Street in Negaunee on November 17, 1975. In December 2005, the bank changed its name to Range Bank, National Association. A significant expansion occurred on December 15, 2006, when it acquired Range Bank - Copper Country, National Association in Calumet, Michigan. The main office was relocated again on October 14, 2014, and on September 3, 2013, to 100 North Front Street in Marquette, Michigan. On June 30, 2021, Range Bank transitioned from being a member of the Federal Reserve System, changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and its chartering agency to state-level oversight, officially becoming a state-chartered bank. After this change, the bank operated simply as Range Bank.
