Ramsey National Bank

Ramsey National Bank was established on January 1, 1892, under the name The Ramsey County National Bank of Devils Lake. Over its history, the bank underwent several name changes, becoming The Ramsey National Bank of Devils Lake in 1954, and later changing to The Ramsey National Bank and Trust Co. of Devils Lake in 1972 when it obtained full trust powers. The bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, including the Farmers State Bank in Maddock, North Dakota, and The Farmers & Merchants Bank of Sheyenne in 1990, followed by the acquisition of Ramsey Bank in Cando, North Dakota, in 2000. In 2007, the main office was relocated to 300 4th Street Northeast in Devils Lake, North Dakota. On October 1, 2011, the institution was renamed Ramsey National Bank. The bank ultimately merged with First United Bank of Park River, North Dakota, on September 12, 2022, and ceased to exist as a separate entity.
