History Of QNB Bank
QNB Bank, originally established as The Quakertown National Bank on July 21, 1877, is a state-chartered bank located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Over the years, the bank has undergone several significant changes and relocations. In 1973, the main office was moved to West Broad, North and Third Streets, Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This location was succeeded by a new main office at 10 North Third Street on January 31, 1991. On December 28, 2007, the institution changed its name to QNB Bank and relocated its main office to 15 North Third Street, Quakertown, Pennsylvania. On the same date, QNB Bank also transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), changed its status to a state-chartered bank not a member of the Federal Reserve System, and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System. Additionally, during its history, the bank expanded its trust powers to full on October 29, 1984.
