Provident Savings Bank, F.S.B. is a financial institution that was established on July 2, 1956, in Riverside, California, originally under the name Provident Federal Savings Bank. The bank underwent several organizational and name changes; it became Provident Savings Bank on February 28, 1989, at which time it also transitioned from a Mutual Savings & Loan to a Stock Savings Bank. In August 1982, Provident Savings Bank acquired the Colorado River Federal Savings and Loan Association located in Blythe, California. The bank moved its main office to 3756 Central Avenue, Riverside, California, on October 31, 1987, a location it maintained until March 31, 2006, when it relocated to a different address in Riverside. On July 21, 2011, Provident Savings Bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
