HISTORY OF PROSPECT FEDERAL SAVINGS BANK
Prospect Federal Savings Bank was established on January 1, 1909, under the name Prospect Federal Savings and Loan Association of Northern Illinois. Over the years, it underwent several organizational changes, including a transformation into a mutual savings bank on October 31, 1984, at which time it changed its name to Prospect Federal Savings Bank. On July 21, 2011, it transitioned to being regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as its primary federal regulatory agency. Subsequently, the bank relocated its main office to 11139 South Harlem Avenue in Worth, Illinois, on August 16, 1993. Prospect Federal Savings Bank continued to operate until April 22, 2017, when it merged with Hoyne Savings Bank, based in Chicago, Illinois.
