In subsequent years, Prime Pacific Bank pursued mergers with larger financial institutions. On August 1, 2016, it merged with Bank of the Cascades, based in Bend, Oregon. Finally, on August 12, 2017, Prime Pacific Bank merged with First Interstate Bank, headquartered in Billings, Montana, thereby ceasing its operations as an independent bank.
