Premier Bank of the South is a financial institution established on November 30, 1987, originally under the name First Commercial Bank of Cullman County. The bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System on April 3, 1995, and subsequently changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve on the same date. In 2005, the bank moved its main office to 101 First Avenue, Northwest, Cullman, Alabama, and officially changed its name to Premier Bank of the South. On January 26, 2007, the bank transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, thereby changing its classification to a state-chartered bank, not a member of the Federal Reserve System.
