HISTORY OF POINTBANK
Pointbank, established on July 13, 1892, in Pilot Point, Texas, was originally named The Pilot Point National Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes in its regulatory status, name, and charter type. On November 1, 1995, it rebranded as Pointbank, National Association. On August 1, 2003, the bank changed its name to Pointbank and transitioned to a state-chartered bank under the jurisdiction of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System at that time. Later on the same day, it became designated as a state-chartered bank that no longer participated in the Federal Reserve System. Subsequently, on August 19, 2003, Pointbank switched its primary federal regulatory agency back to the Federal Reserve and again became a member of the Federal Reserve System, sustaining its status as a state-chartered bank. Throughout its history, Pointbank has maintained its primary office at 200 South Highway 377 in Pilot Point, Texas.
