Branch Reviews & Complaints
This bank issued my son a cashier's check for $3000 that he took to another bank in town, but he could not deposit it because they made a mistake on the check. Now my son's money is in limbo between these two banks, because the competitor's employees did not catch PNC's mistake in time before trying to deposit it into a new account. This is the second week my son, who works, has gone back and forth between PNC and the other bank trying to get his money he earned from gifts and art commissions-money he can never recover. What kind of bank does not admit their mistakes and promptly rectify them? PNC. That's who. They will sit on this forever possibly hoping my son will just walk away, but who in their right mind would walk away from $3000? This is theft in my opinion. I will call this branch's regional/district manager and request that person call the other branches to find out if this has ever happened before and what was done to fix it because these people are acting like this is an anomaly and no one knows how to fix it. All I know is, if this were their money, they would do everything in their power to get their money. This is not the first time my family has been inconvenienced by a PNC bank. The Livingston, TX branch is just as incompetent. PNC should not expect another bank to clean up their mess. He was originally a PNC customer, and this is how they treat their customers. Don't bank with PNC.
