History Of Platte Valley Bank
Platte Valley Bank, originally established as the First National Bank in Morrill in 1925, has undergone several name and structural changes throughout its history. In 1989, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring The Minatare State Bank in Minatare, Nebraska, and The Farmers State Bank in Lyman, Nebraska. Subsequently, it relocated its main office to Center Avenue in Morrill. By 1996, the institution had rebranded as Platte Valley National Bank - Morrill, Minatare, and in 1999 it changed its name to Platte Valley National Bank, moving its main office to East M Street in Torrington, Wyoming. On March 31, 2008, Platte Valley National Bank transitioned to a state-chartered bank and changed its primary regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve System, adopting the name Platte Valley Bank on the same date. In 2014, the bank expanded further by acquiring Tri-County Bank located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
