Platte Valley Bank of Missouri

Platte Valley Bank of Missouri was established on October 20, 1933, under the name First State Bank of Dearborn in Dearborn, Missouri. The institution underwent several name changes and relocations, becoming Platte County Bank of Dearborn on April 1, 1977, and later Platte County Bank on May 28, 1980. On the same date, the main office was moved to a new location in Platte City, Missouri. The bank continued to evolve, officially changing its name to Platte Valley Bank of Missouri on July 25, 1990. Further changes included relocating the main office to 1712 Prairie View Road in Platte City on March 11, 1994, and then to 2400 Prairie View Road on March 16, 1998. In a transition to broader banking operations, the bank changed its trust powers to full on October 19, 1992. On April 4, 2020, Platte Valley Bank of Missouri merged with Central Bank of the Midwest in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The institution subsequently became part of The Central Trust Bank in Jefferson City, Missouri, on October 1, 2021.
