Pinnacle Bank is a financial institution established on March 12, 1934, originally under the name First National Bank in Elberton, Georgia. The bank underwent its first significant change in 1984 when it acquired The American Bank in Bowman, Georgia. In 1998, the bank rebranded as Pinnacle Bank and acquired another institution, also named Pinnacle Bank, located in Royston, Georgia. The year 2001 marked a pivotal transition for Pinnacle Bank as it withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, changed its regulatory oversight to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and modified its classification to that of a state-chartered bank. Over the years, Pinnacle Bank has expanded through several acquisitions, including Georgia Central Bank in Social Circle, Georgia, in 2007; Independence Bank of Georgia in Braselton, Georgia, in 2016; Southern Bank & Trust in Clarkesville, Georgia, in 2020; and Liberty First Bank in Monroe, Georgia, in 2021. I had it set up for no overdrafts Pinnacle decided they weren't making enough money on me so they changed something, and I ended up getting charged $130 in overdraft fees in three weeks I give them -5 stars! I suggest yall get away from Pinnacle itll be you next.... Read more
