Branch Reviews & Complaints
Done, done, and DONE with this bank. I just closed my campaign finance account today and I'll be closing the other two business accounts as soon as I possibly can. I just need to get the money and line of credit setup elsewhere first.
It's taken me over a WEEK to simply setup ACH... a service most every other bank offers as part of their package.
First, I filed a support ticket via the email system on Sunday night asking for directions on where to find the ACH functionality in the system. I got an email back the following business day stating that this feature isn't available on personal accounts....
No kidding... which is why I was messaging you FROM WITHIN my corporate account. I don't even HAVE a personal account with Pinnacle...
So I call instead and speak to my local bank rep - very nice lady named Thoy, who I have probably stressed out to no end by now.
I'll skip the next six phone calls over the next 5 days, I received one yesterday from Pam stating that if I'd fill out the requested paperwork, I could have this function working Friday midmorning... fine. EIGHT documents. Keep in mind, I already have the account.. it's been open since 2008. I signed and returned ALL EIGHT freaking documents. Eight documents to turn on something that doesn't even require a signature anywhere else I do business banking.
Today (Friday) I get a call mid morning... not only will it not be able to be done today, it won't be until NEXT TUESDAY! Pam knows I'm ticked... she knew before she called. I told her then that if they didn't have it up today, I was done. They didn't. I am....
This is as simple as flipping a switch. Turning on ACH isn't rocket science. It simply allows me to move money from one bank to the other instantly. I can do it with Facebook, Venmo, Google Pay, Zelle, and half a dozen other methods for free, but I can't even get my bank to turn it on, even after telling me they're going to charge $40/month to do it!!!
I've got another business account with Wells Fargo... and I'll be moving this one there as soon as I possibly can. I've got a 2 million dollar per year business to run, and another half-million dollar a year business to run. That's not huge in in terms of business accounts, but is should suffice to make the point that I don't have time to be jerked around by idiots. When we need to move money, for whatever reason, you have one job as a bank... let us do it and get out of the way. That's it. I don't want help. I don't want you to perform a wire transfer for me. I don't want to even have to pick up the phone to talk to someone. This is basic banking. I want to be left alone to do it when I need to do it, like I can everywhere else.
I'm disgusted with whoever the heck Brady Moser is with the treasurer's department. Apparently ALL the decision making regarding this feature lies with his office and he can't be bothered.
But that's ok... Wells Fargo will certainly appreciate the business and I'll absolutely remember whom to recommend and whom NOT to recommend when I get asked where I suggest.
Update: I've since finally acquired the ability to transfer money between my banks... it took 13 days and a lot of threatening, but they finally managed to flip the switch. After I got it setup, I received the longest, most convoluted set of instructions I've ever seen in my life to transfer funds between banks. It's literally a 10-step process that requires an entire page of instructions from them to complete! And so far, all the attempts I've made to transfer funds have failed.
At this point, It's literally worth the hassle to move our 150K from this bank and setup an entirely new line of credit somewhere else rather than continue to deal with this back-woods redneck online banking system....
The people inside the branch are nice, but the banking back-end that powers this bank's processing systems seems to be strung together by 12-year olds. It's horrible.
