Pinnacle Bank is a commercial bank that was established on November 1, 1935, originally named First Federal Savings and Loan Association. The bank underwent significant changes over the decades, including the acquisition of First Federal Savings and Loan Association in Haleyville, Alabama, on October 31, 1983. On June 30, 1987, it changed its organization type to a stock savings bank and was renamed First Federal of Alabama, Fsb. Subsequently, on June 30, 1987, the main office relocated to 1811 Second Avenue, Jasper, Alabama. On January 8, 1996, the institution adopted its current name, Pinnacle Bank. It achieved further regulatory changes on January 31, 1997, when it transitioned to a commercial bank, changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and its chartering agency to state-level oversight.
