Pine River Valley Bank was established on August 1, 1977, originally operating under its founding name. The bank's main office was first located in Bayfield, Colorado, and subsequently moved to 455 East Colorado Drive on September 9, 1986. On August 14, 1995, the main office relocated again to 301 North Commerce Drive in Bayfield, Colorado. In a significant change on August 1, 2015, Pine River Valley Bank merged with Nbh Bank, National Association, based in Kansas City, Missouri. Following this merger, the institution changed its name to Nbh Bank on January 1, 2016.
