Piedmont Federal Savings Bank was established on January 1, 1903, originally named Piedmont Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes, reflecting its evolution in structure and operations. On February 20, 2008, it officially changed its name to Piedmont Federal Savings Bank and relocated its main office to 16 West 3rd Street in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The main office was subsequently moved again on August 28, 2012, to 201 South Stratford Road in Winston Salem. Yesterday, 11/17/20, I stopped at the Kernersville Branch to make a deposit, only to find the bank closed. Nothing about the closure was listed on the Branch's webpage, and no notice via email was sent to customers so far as I can tell. This is hardly a way to enhance customer relations.... Read more
