Peoples Exchange Bank is a financial institution that was established on August 23, 1907, originally named Peoples Exchange Bank. Over the years, the bank has undergone several name changes and relocations. On March 28, 1969, the main office was moved to the intersection of South Moore and Main Streets in Beatrice, Alabama. Subsequently, on May 31, 1976, the institution changed its name to Peoples Exchange Bank of Monroe County. Further changes occurred in April 2011, when the main office was relocated to 2013 Highway 21 Bypass in Monroeville, Alabama. Finally, on January 16, 2018, the bank adopted its current name, Peoples Exchange Bank.
