Peoples Bank, originally established as The Peoples State Bank on December 5, 1905, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. In 1989, the bank rebranded itself to Peoples Bank National Association and shifted its regulatory oversight to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System. After four notable changes concerning its trust powers, including a transition from full trust powers to none, the bank moved its main office to 101 East Main, Coldwater, Kansas, on September 30, 1997.
