PennCrest Bank is a financial institution that originated as Columbia Savings and Loan Association, established on January 1, 1939. The bank underwent several name changes and organizational modifications throughout its history. On July 31, 1990, it changed its name to C&G Savings Association and simultaneously acquired Gallitzin Savings and Loan Association in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania. Subsequently, on June 29, 1992, the institution transitioned to a mutual savings bank and adopted the name C&G Savings Bank. In a continued effort to expand, it acquired Peoples Savings & Loan Association in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, on May 31, 2000. The institution experienced another significant transformation on February 29, 2016, when it acquired Cresson Community Bank located in Cresson, Pennsylvania, and subsequently rebranded itself as PennCrest Bank.
